Race fans are ready to drool over one of our latest responsive website design projects for an automotive racing association, FARA USA. For years, they were using a standard WordPress blog style theme that was not converting prospective racers into signed racers. Their organization hosts a race in Homestead-Miami Speedway ever 2 months on a Saturday & Sunday. Many of the registered racers always go back to race for the next event, but they wanted to gain and welcome new racers.
We did some research on some of the top racing associations nationwide and found that none of them have updated websites. Strange but this gives FARA USA an advantage. The website was built using a responsive design in mind that could be used for racers to register right off their phone.
“I prefer registering for the next race on my iPhone then while at work”
On the homepage, the images rotate showing more pictures/call-to-action to register for each event. The purpose is to guide the racer to register for the next upcoming event and so fourth. We also designed the homepage with a countdown clock to show the time left before the next event. In the sidebar we made sure to include space for sponsors and how to reach their social accounts. Each outbound link does open in a new tab/page so the user can easily get back to your website to continue their great viewing experience.
For the racers on the go, sign up to FARA USA with just a few clicks. The responsive design adjusts to all screen sizes which allows to be viewed and actually managing only one website a breeze. This mockup shows how he homepage design looks on a mobile device.
