South Dade Choppers opened their doors in 2013 to offer unique and custom motorcycles which included choppers, protreet and bobber bikes. With their location being in Miami, shipping worldwide would not be an issue to expose the product. At first the client was unsure about what colors to use for the logos, what should or should not be on the home page, and what functionality will the site need. After a few hours, we knew exactly what kind of design and colors we would use for South Dade Choppers branding.
The logo we created helps show what they do in a blink of an eye – Sell Motorcycles! When designing logos/branding it is very important to see how the design looks in black and white before adding color because then you will know it is universal. As you will see on the website the logo transforms a little on a black background showing white tires and white name. The red stays which keeps its uniform.
Website Design in general has changed drastically over the years but I must say for the better. We knew immediately South Dade Choppers needed to be built on the latest web standards out there. We chose to build the new website on Responsive Website Design. The homepage starts off with a carousel display of their latest projects, followed with small caption about them and latest events/news.
This is a very unique page on the website because of the motorcycle classifications helping to showcase their product. Since the chassis used for each will remain constant but body color, style wheels, etc will not – We decided what better way to showcase each class by drawing a vector around the frame. Each bike shows the oil tank, handlebar approximate height, wheel/tire height and where the seat would most likely be placed. This does help position the rider on the motorcycle.
